Per the Weld County Health Department, "6 mosquito pools tested positive for West Nile Virus (WNV) last week and this resulted in a Vector Index approaching the limit in Zone 1 in Weld County." According to the CDC, a vector index calculation that exceeds 0.75 indicates an increased risk of WNV transmission to humans.
