The incorporated (annexed) areas of Kersey include both land and roadways stretching several miles in some directions. For instance, the Platte River Fort and Peterbuilt are located inside the Town of Kersey but are assigned a postal code and address for Greeley. Often confusing, zip codes and town boundaries don't always match. The map above shows the incorporated areas for Kersey in a green highlight, the area where the Greeley airport is located is in black. Even though some roads may be annexed, for example the Weld County Parkway and portions of CR 49, the Town is only responsible for law enforcement in these areas.

Danna works with Town staff and landowners to guide future land development and economic growth so that it is aligned with the community's priorities in the Kersey Comprehensive Plan.  To do this, we consider how new projects connect with adjacent neighborhoods, fit with the natural environment, complement Kersey's character, and comply with Kersey's land use regulations.  We also pursue grant opportunities to enhance Kersey's vitality.  For example, we are currently seeking/have obtained funding to:  improve our downtown streetscape, update our strategic plan, expand our trail system, improve our broadband system, and to attract economic development.
