Police Department
The Kersey Police Department, as an agency, dedicates itself to the service and protection of the citizens of Kersey and the surrounding areas. We uphold this dedication through the personal, professional, thorough, courteous, and vigilant pursuit of justice. It is our goal to maintain a strong sense of community with our citizens, as we endeavor to provide the best law enforcement service possible, everyday.
The Kersey Police Department is located in the rear of the Town Hall Complex. The Kersey Police Department is staffed by 4 full time police officers and 4 Reserve Part-Time police officers. The department operates with a Chief of Police, Patrol Sergeant, Five Patrol Officers and a part-time Criminal Investigator.
The Kersey Police Department handles approximately 5,000 calls for service annually. The department maintains a fleet of 5 vehicles. Officers in the Department operate on a 12-hour schedule providing maximum coverage of the Town of Kersey, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Dispatch services are provided by contract through the Weld County Communications Center.

Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT)
